Booking and dates
Before a date is held.
What should I send with the enquiry?
Send the date, the place, roughly how many people, and whether you want photography, film or both. I reply with availability, a quote and the closest work from that venue. The quote is not a booking.
Where do you work?
Austin, Round Rock, Leander, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Georgetown and wider Central Texas. Travel within 40 miles of North Austin is included; beyond that it is $1.25 a mile.
How does a date get held?
The 40% retainer holds the date. The booking exists when both sides confirm in writing and the deposit on the quote is paid. The booking agreement sets the cancellation and reschedule terms.
Can we move the date?
Ask in writing to [email protected]. The booking agreement sets how a date change is handled and which part of the deposit carries over.

What the quote is made of.
What does a wedding cost?
Weddings start at $2,800 for four hours with one photographer and 120+ images. Six hours is $3,900, the Signature day $5,500, and South Asian multi-day coverage from $9,500. Most weddings land between $3,900 and $11,000.
Why is a portrait session $650?
One hour, one location, 25 images, planned, directed and edited. Most sessions run $650 to $1,500 depending on time and image count.
Can we book photography and film together?
Yes. One crew covers both, and the film rate drops when booked with photography. Event films start at $950.
What is not included?
Sales tax at 8.25% where it applies, travel beyond 40 miles at $1.25 a mile, an additional hour $250, a second photographer $650, rush delivery $450, and albums from $850. The second photographer is included in the Signature day and the South Asian multi-day collection.
The day itself
How coverage works.
How many photographers?
One for portraits, the Intimate day and the Six-hour day. Two for the Signature day and the South Asian multi-day collection, or $650 as an add-on.
Do you shoot phone-free weddings?
I ask for two minutes: the vows, and nothing else. The rest of the day is open. The portrait session also runs with phones down for twenty minutes.
When should the sangeet start?
Guest arrival an hour before you want the room full, first performance ninety minutes after the doors, two speeches before and the rest after dinner. Dinner sits about three hours after the doors.
What happens if the day runs late?
I stay where I reasonably can and tell you what it means for coverage. Coverage stops at the contracted hour; an additional hour is $250.
Files and delivery
What arrives, and what you may do with it.
When do the photos and film arrive?
Portraits in 10 business days, events in 14, weddings in four to six weeks, films in six to eight. Rush delivery is five business days for $450. Your quote states the window.
Do we get the RAW files, and can we print and share them?
You can ask; I would rather you did not. You receive full-resolution edited files with a personal licence to print, share and post. Copyright stays with the studio, and resale or commercial use needs written permission.
Can I ask for a different edit or style after delivery?
You review the gallery and I read the feedback. The editing, colour and storytelling are my work and stay mine; delivered work is not re-edited into another style. A basic readjustment, such as a crop or a dust spot, is charged separately, quoted before the work starts. A restyle or re-edit is a new commission.
