Terms of Service for Austin Photoblog
The short version: you send your date, I quote, we agree in writing, and I photograph or film your day. These terms explain everything around that.
Who these terms cover
I am Sanjaya Das, trading as Austin Photoblog, a photography and film studio in Austin, Texas. These terms apply to this website and to any photography or film work I quote, unless a booking agreement says something different.
Quotes and bookings
A quote sets out the date, coverage, deliverables and price. It is not a booking. A booking exists once we have both confirmed in writing and the deposit shown on the quote has been paid.
Payment
Payment follows the schedule on your quote and invoice. Any tax that applies is shown on the invoice. If an invoice is overdue I may pause editing or delivery until it is settled.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Your booking agreement sets the cancellation and reschedule terms, including which part of the deposit is refundable and how a date change is handled. If I have to cancel and cannot offer a replacement, you get a refund of payments made for work not delivered.
Please cancel or move a date in writing to [email protected], so there is a clear record for both of us.
The day itself
I follow the timings and access in your schedule. If the day runs late or plans change, I stay where I reasonably can and tell you what it means for coverage. Light, weather and venue rules can affect specific images, and I cannot promise a particular shot when they do.
Delivery
Your quote states the delivery window. Edited images and films arrive through an online gallery link, and I keep a working copy while your gallery is live. Please download and back up your files once they arrive, because long-term storage is yours to manage.
Copyright and licence
I own the copyright in the photographs and films I make, and the right to be credited as their creator. You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to print, share and display them for your own use.
Resale, commercial use, or supplying the files to someone else for their own promotion needs written permission. I use your images in my portfolio, on social media or in competitions only with your permission.
Your responsibilities
- Confirm venue access, permits and timings, and coordinate with your other vendors.
- Tell me in advance about anything that affects safety, access or the schedule.
- Make sure the people being photographed are happy to be photographed, and that a parent or guardian knows when minors will be in the photographs.
- Pay on the agreed schedule.
Liability
I work with professional equipment, spares and backups. If something within my control fails, my liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected booking. I am not responsible for venue restrictions, guest behaviour or another vendor's failure, and I cannot guarantee a specific image where access, light or the schedule prevents it.

The text, photographs and films on this site are mine. Please do not copy, scrape or republish them without permission. Links to other sites are there to help you, not as endorsements, and those sites have their own terms.
